A breakdown in inter-office professionalism occurred when Deputy Public Defender Christina Behle of Los Angeles, California filed a lawsuit seeking damages against LA County District Attorney Lisa Tanner. The third actor? Deputy Public Defender Michael Tanner, the separated yet not divorced spouse of Lisa Tanner. The suit alleges invasion of privacy, negligent (and intentional) interference with “prospective economic advantage” and the intentional infliction of emotional distress.
I DON'T feel sorry for the guy. Actually, I am LMAO right now. I guess his good friend, the Judge in my case, couldn't spare him the public humiliation from this matter. Way to go Michael Tanner!! He was assigned to represent me, (if you want to call it that) in mid 2014 in a complicated criminal case. I didn't know it then, but I guess he was having issues with his his ex Lisa at the time. The guy did absolutely NOTHING to defend me and definitely was working with the DA to try to nail my coffin shut. He seemed to have NO clue about what he was doing and didn't want to have a clue. I think it was mid 2015, when I was told by one of his colleagues that he was hospitalized because his propane BBQ grill blew up while he was using it. He was able to return back to work in a month or two. So this guy has been going through it for the last few years. After reading all of this about him and his ex, it is now obvious to me where his head was at the time. I can honestly say that at the time he couldn't have cared less about the outcome of my case. While I was eventually able to obtain private counsel, not much better than him, sadly to say, I feel sorry for others who he was so-called representing. I ended up doing some time, but now I am back among the land of the free, positively striving forward with my life. "Prospective Economic Advantage", what a joke! This guy didn't work for what he was earning then and I am sure that he still DOESN'T even work for what he is earning now. THANK YOU Universe for exposing this guy. It appears that his fate was certainly worse than mine was, and he didn't even have to do any time.
